Key Eligibility Criteria
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. For specialised roles like Class Teachers, a degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education is preferred.
Teaching License/Qualification
A valid teaching license is required. Alternatively, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGCE) or a QTS certificate is acceptable.
Experience
Generally, 2 years of relevant teaching experience is necessary, although some positions may accept 1 year.
Age and Background
Candidates must be at least 25 years old. A criminal record clearance and medical fitness report are mandatory.
Language Proficiency
For English-taught subjects, non-native speakers must meet IELTS requirements (5.5 to 7.0, depending on the role).Â
Academic Qualification
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or a 4-year university degree in the relevant field is required. For specialised positions, such as in private schools or universities, a master's degree might be preferred or required.
Professional License
A mandatory Education Professional License is required to legally practice the profession. This is obtained by passing specific tests, with training courses available for those who do not meet the initial exam criteria.
Background Checks
A criminal clearance record (Certificate of Good Conduct) is essential.
Medical Fitness
A medical fitness report from a UAE-approved centre is mandatory.
Document Attestation
Academic certificates obtained from outside the UAE must be officially attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE embassy in the home country.
