Our schools are clear about the knowledge and skills students need to succeed academically.
Beyond that, our schools are equipped with innovative curricula, a research-backed learning approach and high-impact assessment tools, all designed to deepen each student’s understanding. Continuous improvement is fundamental to ISP.
All our schools follow a learning improvement framework which monitors performance against selected criteria proven to best support student learning.
It helps us enhance our approach to have the greatest impact on students’ success.
We believe that there are some key life skills that all students need to thrive. These include everything from digital literacy to global awareness.
These skills prepare them to adapt to a rapidly changing world, make informed decisions, and build meaningful relationships, setting a strong foundation for lifelong success and fulfilment.
ISP students develop these skills over the course of their school years, through learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.
International learning is part of our schools’ DNA. Our students are encouraged to explore a range of world languages.
We ensure all our students can communicate and collaborate confidently in at least one world language (usually English, Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish or French), in addition to their home languages.
Every year, ISP students around the world take part in multicultural and multilingual experiences called International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS). Whether it’s becoming a United Nations delegate or directing a film, ILOSprogrammes open the world to every student.
Every ILOS experience encourages students to discover their true interests as they prepare to succeed in today’s global society.
ISP’s bespoke university and careers-related programme, Future Pathways, helps students to make informed choices about their future.
We work with each student to explore their academic skills and interests.
Then we bring experts in their field to share practical insights and guide students on their next steps to help them reach their university, college, or career of choice
Placement of our new students in classes is carried out by the Heads of School to ensure classes are diverse across gender, language, national status, and additional learning needs. Your new teacher will be in touch directly with all the information you will need, and you will be given a house colour for your sports uniform.
Sixth Form at Reach British School comes down to three options: A Levels, vocational BTEC qualifications, or a mix of the two. Students can take up to four A Level subjects, studied in modules with exams at the end of each year, choosing from English Language and Literature, French, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. That flexibility means students can shape their education around whatever university or career they're aiming for.
Most students join Reach British School's Sixth Form at the start of Year 12, right after finishing IGCSE exams in Year 11. The Heads of School handle placement, keeping classes balanced across gender, language, national background and additional learning needs. Applications get accepted all year round, so prospective Sixth Form students should contact the Admissions team directly to sort out timing and entry requirements.
STEAM in Sixth Form at Reach British School shows up mainly through subject choice: A Level and BTEC options like Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics give students a direct route into Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. The aim is to build the analytical and practical skills competitive university courses look for, and to get students ready for STEAM-related degrees in fields like Engineering and Medicine.
The University and Careers Pathway Programme handles most of the university and career prep at Reach British School's Sixth Form, with guidance on CVs, interview practice and looking into universities abroad. The numbers back up the academics too: a 98% A Level pass rate and 90% acceptance into Russell Group and QS-ranked universities. ISP scholarships, covering up to 75% of tuition, are also available for strong students heading into higher education.
Choosing a Sixth Form pathway at Reach British School happens with help from the University and Careers Pathway Programme, which looks at each student's strengths, interests and goals. Specialist staff talk students through whether A Levels, BTEC or a blend fits better with their intended university course or career direction. Ongoing reflection, assessments and mock exams feed into that decision too, so the final choice tends to match the student's actual academic profile rather than a guess.
