Beyond the classroom: sports, activities and leadership

Student leadership

Student leadership

Leadership is key at Reach. We empower students with roles like house leaders and school council members, fostering skills like empathy, being a good listener and communicator and having a vision.

Notable achievements include student-led projects like creating a school library and participating in global events. Our students lead initiatives that make a real impact on our community and beyond.

Student voice

Student voice

Student input shapes our school. We listen to our students' opinions and suggestions and then act on them. From playground improvements to litter pickers to new sports teams, our students' ideas drive our action plans.

Their voices are amplified through platforms like our student council and RBS radio and a podcast. This is ground-breaking in a school environment and has been created to connect our community and raise the profile of our students.

Community

Community

At Reach British School we aim to encourage team spirit, and we believe instilling a healthy sense of competition to our children is a vital part of their development. Every student is assigned a house colour on enrolment, so they can feel part of the school community from day one, as well as by class or year group. Students accumulate house points throughout the year and the winning house at the end of the year is awarded the House Cup.
