This term, RBS hosted its very first inter-house tournament with football as its sport of choice. Our students enjoyed watching and playing this globally beloved sport and were able to showcase their amazing skills on the pitch.On the first day of the tournament, FS1 competed in a goal kick tournament while primary, in stages, competed in matches against their fellow houses. On the second day, FS2 and Secondary students played their various matches throughout the day.It was phenomenal to see the team effort, sportsmanship, skillset, and overall heart our students displayed on the pitch. Students thoroughly enjoyed this friendly competition while being supported by both parents and fellow students.Our student house captains coached each of our teams and supported them to victory. Please find below the winners for each stage and the overall winner of the RBS inter-house football tournament.FS: Sun House won with 102 goal kicks while Falcons were a close second with only 1 goal kick difference.Year 1 & 2:Pearl House snatched the win in the finals against Ghaf.Year 3 & 4:Ghaf House came in second in the group stages but was victorious in the final match against the Falcons.Year 5:Ghaf House led the leaderboard throughout the tournament with a 5-point difference.Year 6 & 7 boys:Ghaf House edged to a win with a one-goal difference.Year 6 & 7 girls:Sun House were both victorious in the group stage as well as the final.Year 8 & 9 boys:Ghaf House once more took the win away from the Falcons who were leading in the group stages.Year 8 & 9 girls:Sun House won with a one-goal difference in the finals, but were tied with Falcons in the group stages.Year 10 – 13 boys:Pearl House kept their winning streak going through the tournament with a perfect score.Year 10 – 13 girls:Falcons took the win away from the Sun House at the last minute. Sun House won all three matches in the group stages. RBS parents also shared their experience of our first inter-house football tournament.“What a morning!!
