RBS community unites for cancer awareness month

In October, the Reach British School community came together to support Cancer Awareness Month through various fundraising activities.

The month of October is always a special time at Reach British School, as our community comes together to celebrate and participate in acts of charity. Every year, we are committed to raising awareness for cancer, as October is Cancer Awareness Month.

To show our support this year, we invited all students and staff to wear pink every Friday throughout the month. By coming to school together in pink, we believe we can make a powerful statement and demonstrate our solidarity with those affected by cancer.

In addition to our collective effort, our Secondary department hosted an art exhibition showcasing the exceptional talents of our secondary students. This was not only a platform for our talented students to shine but also served as a means to contribute to a greater cause.

Our Parent Advisory Board also organised a Pink Sale providing students and staff with the opportunity to purchase a variety of pink items. All proceeds from these initiatives will be dedicated to cancer research, enabling us to make a truly meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.

At Reach, we are committed to nurturing a deep sense of compassion and empathy in our students. We firmly believe that instilling the value of charity is not just about giving, but it empowers our students to become compassionate leaders who will shape a brighter future for all.

“I love how Reach instils the true meaning of charity in our children through this annual initiative. It not only educates them about the importance of helping others but also cultivates responsible and compassionate citizens within them.” Ayman, Year 4 and Year 8 Parent
