RBS marks children’s mental health week

16-02-2023

Reach British School marked Children’s Mental Health Week with a series of impactful activities aimed at fostering well-being and understanding.

“At Reach British School, we are committed to prioritising wellbeing and contributing positively to the development of our community’s mental health and welfare,” Says Mr Charles, our Upper KS2 Assistant Principal.

Reach British School had a wonderful and meaningful celebration of Children’s Mental Health Week for a week in February. Our students participated in various classroom activities such as Let’s Connect Thoughts, in depth discussions, mindfulness colouring, creating mental health action plans, and a mental health week word search.

“Mental health is a key component in helping students study well and keep their wellbeing. One thing we can do to help everyone around us is to be there for them especially when they need it,” says Jaanavi in Year 9, when asked why mental health is important for students.

To mark the last day of Children’s Mental Health Week, our community came to school wearing green to show our support for raising a generation of happy, healthy and responsible children.
